This poster is for a paranormal horror film, so i thought that this may be an appropriate poster to analyse. In the image, you can clearly see both the antagonist of the film, and the protagonist. The image used is effective as the image of the woman in black is faded over the boy, making her look sinister and evil. The colour scheme of the film poster is white and red for the text. No other colours have been used which makes everything stand out. The main things that stand out on the page are the title and also the date of the release. This will help me when it comes to creating my own film poster because i will know what should stand out and i can therefore make the poster look quite effective.
Text has been written in the center of the poster where the woman in black is shown. I think that this is effective because we are drawn to the centerof the page, which makes the poster appeal to the audience as they will real what the text says. The text on the poster uses lots of different sizes es with certain words standing out more than others. If we plan on a title that is longer than one word, i will use this tercxhnique in the title so that it looks more like a real poster, rather than one that has been created.

This film poster straight away establishes the genre and sub-genre on the film from the image. We see a doll that has clearly been possessed which makes the audience aware of the paranormal antagonist in the film. The film poster uses low key lighting around Annabelle's face so that the main focus is on Annabelle. The fact that we don't see half of Annabelle's face makes the poster look creepy and makes the doll look more evil
The poster uses mainly serif font of different sizes and colours. The colours look effective together as they go from white, to red and to white again. Everything on the page stands out which helps the page look more eye catchy.
I feel like i already see a similar colour scheme with paranormal horror films. They all seem to use the colour scheme of black, red and whiter and they use a variety of font sizes to make certain things stand out more than others

The main focus of this image is the boys eyes as they are in the center of the screen and is therefore one of the main focus of the poster making the boy look possessed. The lighting helps make the boy look more creepy because the lighting fades and turns much darker at the bottom of the poster. The background of the image makes the boy more visible because the background is much brighter than him. We know that the poster is from a paranormal film because of the boy, and also the house. The house looks like a typical haunted house which establishes the genre of the film. All the text is written on the boys figure which also makes the main focus the boy rather than the text.
The font has lots of different font sizes, however, the font type seems to remain the same throughout, except for the credits. Different font sizes help make certain things stand out more thas others. The colours of the font are both white and red. The red is only used in the title which draws attention towards it.
